We believe demonic agendas have taken precedence in the media, art, and entertainment industries that influence our culture and kids today more than ever before:
In March 2021, the #1 most streamed song worldwide was 'Montero' by Lil Nas X - which was written, according to the artist (who's birth name is Montero Lamar Hill), to "normalize same-sex lust". It's become controversial for its obscene lyrics and music video depicting a sexualized Garden of Eden and throne of hell - but what's really disturbing is behind the smoke and mirrors...

To go with the song and music video, Montero also released 666 pairs of Nike Air Max sneakers which bore satanic pentagram pendants and claimed to contained 1 drop of human blood each.

What's more disturbing is Lil Nas X's influence on kids:
Prior to releasing the song 'Montero', Lil Nas X was actively building his audience of children.

he wrote and published a children's book called 'C' is for Country, which became a NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

performed his debut single 'Old Town Road' at an elementary school in Georgia (pictured above)

posted several 'educational' sing-along videos for kids on YouTube

proudly tweeted his intention to "make music for kids"

Some might see this as a mere gag or publicity stunt. We believe that whether Montero was aware of it or not, the demonic was exerting it's agenda on culture through his platform of influence.

We believe that it's our job to stand against this as followers of Jesus. "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). In Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus tells his followers to be the salt and light of the world - preserving God's good design for his people and exposing / expelling the darkness. If the devil is using media, art, and entertainment platforms to influence the next generation, how much more should we?
It's for such a time as this that the church must rise to the need. The devil is called the father of lies. (John 8:44) His agenda is to confuse us about our power and true identity in God, just as he did Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God desires for us to be fully alive, in full acceptance of who we are, walking in confidence, love, maturity, and spiritual authority. He desires relationship with us and purchased it with his own blood. Immediately after Adam and Eve were deceived by the snake, God pledged to them that he would crush the snake and save the destiny of their children. (Genesis 3:15)

This is the 'why' behind our mission. Not are we moved to create after God's heart for the sake of a generation, but we also believe that God-inspired art is more beautiful, more moving, and more powerful than art that is darkly-inspired.

OVERTHROW THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL

We've seen that too many Christians are either trampled victims or complacent and detached from the world and it's problems because they don't understand their authority as God's children. Overthrow is about walking the incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:19)
While much of the church has shrunken back into it's religious buildings, it's abandoned it's role in the world to influence through creative platforms... As a result, today's darkly-inspired and hyper-sexualized culture is driving our generation into unprecedented mental illness, toxic relationships, addiction, and suicide. Overthrow is about putting a foot down and standing up to the bully behind the ruin. Our mission is to overthrow the status quo and shift culture through art and design after God's own heart. We exist to equip believers for spiritual war and activate the church in its creative cultural role.
Overthrow is not about hatred or physical violence. We love people and are defenders of all people. We know that our enemy is spiritual. We believe in miracles. We believe the power of prayer. We know that good wins.

Me & Sam
WHO WE ARE
Sam & I got married in the middle of the remarkable year 2020, we love God, people, fashion, and music. We currently work full-time (me as a junior graphic designer - her as a title & escrow processor) and lead youth at a small church in Denver. We've also been missionaries with a rad organization called YWAM and are planning to do another season with them soon... THE PROFITS FROM OVERTHROW WILL FUND OUR NEXT MISSION !!

01. We want to make You WORLD CLASS TEES: We're obsessed with the details and truly consider everything that goes into our favorite tee. We want to dive deeper into cut & sew + custom manufacturing.
02. Equip believers to be more confident and effective in spiritual war.

03. We want to encounter people with the love of Jesus. We believe that the word of God has the power to completely change someone's life - and we believe God wants to use YOU to bring it to them. We don't want it to stay in the secret place, so we put it on everything we make. All of our imagery & design is inspired by scripture, stories, or themes from the text of the Bible.

Right now, it's just me and my wife - one day we hope to be a growing team of creatives, a source of encouragement and inspiration, a resource + platform for other artists to wage war against the works of the devil *.
